Senior Algorithm Researcher

The Role:

As a Senior Algorithm Researcher, you will play a key role in leading research projects focused on optical applications in dimensional metrology. In this position, you will tackle complex metrology challenges across various industries, contributing innovative solutions to customers.

You will be deeply involved in the early phases of projects, shaping concepts, and leading the algorithmic implementation of new ideas. Additionally, you will participate in the development of proof-of-concept systems, collaborating closely with hardware and software engineers to ensure optimal algorithmic integration and performance.

Key Requirements:

  • Academic Qualifications: Master’s or Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in algorithm development in high-tech environments/academic or equivalent experience (For candidates with a master's degree, at least 5 years of relevant industrial experience is required. For Ph.D. holders, 5 years of experience in either academic research or industry is a strong plus.)
  • Strong foundation in statistics, data analysis, image processing and signal processing.
  • Experience in algorithm development and implementation using tools like MATLAB and/or Python.
  • Hands-on experience in optics, photonics, and/or optical metrology is a significant advantage.
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques (e.g., deep learning for image denoising, object recognition) is plus.

Desirable Experience:

  • Prior experience working in a technical, research-driven environment.
  • Experience collaborating within a small, dynamic team.
